The average initial investment to open a single Move Cheap® location ranges from $65,000 to $83,900.  These costs include franchise fee, lease, equipment and fixtures, miscellaneous supplies, opening inventory, advertising, signs, and working capital.

The typical Move Cheap® Retail Location is often an existing "free standing" building, or in a shopping center.  In both cases, high traffic is a requirement.  The typical size of the building is 800 to 1000 sq ft with a parking lot large enough to handle the capacity of customer and employee vehicles along with a small to medium fleet of rental moving trucks and mobile storage units.

Move Cheap® does not finance.  Bank and SBA loan finance programs may be an alternative to financially qualified franchisees to finance their Move Cheap® location.

Yes.  The Move Cheap® system provides an initial 3 week training program along with complete operations manuals.  In addition, Move Cheap® will also provide ongoing support for its franchisees.

The on-going royalty is 6% of on-going sales.  Sales tax is not subject to royalty.

Building national and local recognition of the Move Cheap® brand and reputation is an essential objective of this system.  We require that Move Cheap® franchise locations spend no less than 1% of sales on advertising in local markets using approved materials

9.  How do I get started?

In addition to your initial local training and opening assistance, you will receive ongoing operational support through qualified operations personnel and periodic publications as well as information or bulletins which spotlight important events.  Also, you will have access to a franchisee website portal to give you up to date information and news.  You will also receive visits from your Development Agent who will consult with you and offer useful advice and counsel on such system elements as quality, customer service, product information, advertising, training, communication, promotion, and other business information.
